Lowest price or least hassle?

Posted by markmover on February 8th, 2010

When considering a service or product, I have found that as I get older I tend to take less risks. So when hiring an Atlanta Mover I looked for a moving company I look for companies that have been around a long time, and value their reputation.

This is completely the opposite of when I graduated college. All I owned was a mattress, some cinder block bookshelves, a beat up stereo and the mismatched china, pots and pans of the average college schmuck. So they way to hire a mover was to call around and find out who charged the least. Even then I often learned that the lowest rate did not always translate to the lowest price. For example when I bought stereo equipment the Soundesign brand was cheaper, but I blew out the speakers in no time at all, and it was no bargain at all.

It was early in life that I learned to buy quality speakers and a quality amplifier, that I often left on to run all night. When electronics are on they produce heat, and that wears them down, and they die sooner. Unless I buy better quality. On the other hand, when I buy something that I may rarely use, I may still buy the cheapest brand.
